HOUSTON (AP) -- Aaron Rodgers set a career high and tied a franchise record with six touchdown passes last night as the Green Bay Packers routed the Houston Texans 42-24. Jordy Nelson and James Jones combined for five TD receptions. Arian Foster rushed for two scores for the Texans, who fell to 5-1 on the year.
HOUSTON (AP) -- Packers linebacker Nick Perry left yesterday's game against Houston with a knee injury. Perry was Green Bay's fifth-leading tackler and had two sacks through the first five games of the season. Houston defensive end Tim Jamison left the matchup with an Achilles injury.
LANDOVER, Md. (AP) -- Robert Griffin III ran for two touchdowns and threw for another in the Washington Redskins' 38-26 win over the Minnesota Vikings yesterday. The Redskins snapped an eight-game home losing streak, while the Vikings saw their three-game winning streak come to an end. Minnesota quarterback Christian Ponder threw for 352 yards and two TDs.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Jason Hanson kicked a 45-yard field goal in overtime yesterday to give the Detroit Lions a 26-23 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Matthew Stafford led the Lions to 17 points in the fourth quarter, including a one-yard touchdown run. Detroit sacked Eagles quarterback Michael Vick twice in the extra period and forced a punt.
